Yes, our usual focus revolves around articles on enterprise technology, but we couldn’t help but divert our attention to Google’s latest release: the Pixel 8. In our honest assessment, this tech gadget deserves our attention. The marketing slogan, “Meet Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro, engineered by Google and built with AI,” triggered our interest, and rightly so. Big question, Is it really built with AI or it’s a mere marketing word to drive sales?
Yeah, you may get it now, why we couldn’t resist talking about it?
Instead of listing all the usual stuff, we’ll tell you the top 4 unique things about the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro.
Best Take
Picture this: You’re trying to capture a group photo, and it seems like there’s always someone blinking or looking away in each shot – a common struggle, especially when photographing kids. To make things easier, Google Photos now offers a handy feature called ‘Best Take.’ It analyzes a set of similar photos taken in quick succession and automatically combines them to create a perfect group shot with everyone looking their best. And if you want to pick a different expression, you can manually choose the one you prefer from the other photos you took to get that ideal group photo.

Magic Editor
Magic Editor, new editing feature in Google Photos, powered by advanced AI. It makes it effortless to make intricate edits and recreate the moment as you remember it. Need to adjust the size or position of your subject? Simply tap or outline the object you want to edit, then drag to move it or pinch to resize it.
This may seems like an existing 3rd Party App or infamous Adobe Background remover. This is just convenient enough. That’s a good thought.

Google Assistant 2.0
This is too much for us, because it brings tonnes of convenient features that should have in all the smartphones. From reading out the articles on a webpage (ignoring the ads banners), to live translation (as in speaking in different languages and instantly translate to your language, good for tourist!) to the best of all, Additionally, it introduces improved spam call filters and call screens through the Pixel Call Screen feature, now capable of detecting and blocking more spam calls than ever before. Notably, the Pixel Call Assist feature boasts a more natural-sounding assistant, promising a caller interaction that mimics a personal assistant seamlessly. That’s like having your own Personal Assistant!
7 Years of OS Updates!
And finally, Google is impressing skeptics by outperforming both Apple and Samsung in terms of software support. The Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro will enjoy continuous operating system, feature, and security updates for up to seven years, ensuring support until 2030. Given the array of AI features in these models, there’s optimism that Google will introduce even more useful capabilities in the future.
Is it safe to say, this is a real environment friendly and cost savvy phone?
